I have no words besides just...Wow. I have played a few games trying to find good story and this game really hit me like a truck. So much emotion and so many feelings that resonate within. Just by thinking about the story I can feel something pulling at my heart making me feel everything I experienced while reading and exploring. Those last sequences of events really threw me for a ride or two. Looking forward to the next chapters.

This game is a masterpiece. I just don't love it. I'm obsess with it. I have followed it for years, waiting impatiently for each new chapters.
Now I know you already had been praised constanly about the story and the music but if there's one point that I find very, VERY, underappreciated is your camera angles. For real, you just don't simply show things as they are but managed to give the angle shoot that magicaly amplify the scene to the next level. Every. Single. Time. Did you did photography before? And that's not even mentioning your brillant use of color and light that give such a surrealist vibe to that game.

It's got some scenes that need you to make the correct decision in order for them to be unlocked, but the narrative is more or less linear, yes. If you're having doubts about continuing and you're close to the start, I'd recommend sticking with it for a little while and seeing if it grows on you, it kind of changes atmosphere quite a bit after the first little arc.

It's the years of practice. Most stories devs hit "Good enough to release" and then stop working as hard to improve. You can see a huge difference between chapter 1 (2020) and 51 (2024), many other stories have had similar development cycles but the artists have just stopped putting as much effort into improving past "Good enough".
Are you hoping the game becomes like "Godesses' Whim"? Because I believe Anon is publishing the story and refining it later, am I wrong? Even if I'm wrong, love the story, the sex scenes are a side benefit.
I really appreciate how honest you've been about this story untill now. That's what makes it special. Alone the game is quite boring, gameplay here and there, but it's more of a visual novel, horror, psychological. Teen drama... seems like a strange mix. The premises are... mid. But the story actually works pretty well and in my opinion the characters are what makes people stay. Giving us all (or almost) the povs is a good choice, and showing emotionally conflicted characters it's even better. No black or white but grey shades. That's why I'm loving Leah. And hating her. And loving her. And... you get it. Even if she doesn't beat the perfection of Kieran. Nice job, I'm touched.

Assuming you're not a Patreon subscriber (in which case you'll have already played it), chapter 52 is coming out very soon. Should be within a day or so, I believe, though don't quote me on that. Pretty sure they'll be returning to a monthly schedule after that. The December/January and July/August months are a bit of an exception; think they usually take breaks around then, and there's the occasional delay when attention is being focused elsewhere. Historically speaking, they've always done a good job of sticking to that one-chapter-per-month release schedule.
Public releases are now 2 weeks after Patreon release, so ya gotta wait 1 more week. Check the OotCast on YouTube if you haven't yet, or dive into some of the music that has been originally created for the game (+ composer notes) on YT.
58 is allegedly going to be the darkest point in the story, so expect this next year's worth of releases to be progressively more painful.

Regarding low storage space: my guide has a section for that. You'll need enough to install the full game, plus space for one installer APK. If you can handle that (~8-9GB), you can install it. Otherwise, I'd suggest cleaning up your storage and making space, because this game is very much worth the trouble. Backup some junk to the cloud or your computer (if you have one). Or, just play it on PC, if you can—the experience is, quite honestly, much higher quality. Though, if Android is your only option, that is how I originally played the game and I enjoyed it very much.
I know, right? I'm replaying it both with the goal of writing a comprehensive review and in preparation for Ch52's pub release, and goddamnit, even the silliness in Ch1 made me cry. Then again, I'm a bit of a crybaby when it comes to this stuff.
Not willing to be spoilery here, but there is a thing on YouTube called "OotCast" where two guys play through the game, while discussing the lore implications and the foreshadowing with full spoilers.
When I first played through 47-51, I felt a little confused and drained by it all as well. Some of that undoubtedly had to do with the sheer fatigue of binging everything the way I had. Watching OotCast helped to piece together connections I hadn't made before.
Could be good to do in the last week before the next public release.
I HATE THIS! I just finished what there is yet to the game. This was the best story I've ever seen in a game and now I have to wait for i don't know how long. This was great up until I had no more to play of it.

God, I can't wait. Stupid excited. I can't say I've ever bothered to check back on development for literally any other VN. Usually it's like, once a year or so that I'll look and see if any of the games I liked have released new updates (e.g. Eternum, Ripples, and a couple of others I can't remember the names for off the top of my head).
But Out of Touch? Ever since I found this and finished it months ago (right about when 50+51 released), I find myself checking this damn page (and Patreon) at least once a week, even though I know full well the probability of any update being there is very low. Goes to show how much this game means to me, that even this many months after finishing it, I'm still thinking about it and craving more.
Suppose if the update is going to be that soon, that means that it's time for me to replay it in preparation, since my memory is that of a fish. I can remember much of the plot—at least, conceptually; I have a rough idea of what's happened so far—but the tiny details elude me completely since it's been so long. Those details, IMO, are easily one of the biggest reasons this story shines so much in my eyes. The characters feel more and more real as the story develops.
The nice part about getting to replay it is that I'll likely pick up on details I missed during my first playthrough. I don't typically like replaying games or reading stories for a second time, but I don't expect I'll mind very much with this one. If anything, I expect I'll enjoy it, since I distinctly recall that there were several story arcs I read while half-asleep and probably didn't fully absorb.
Maybe this time around I'll keep notes and write a proper chapter-by-chapter (or arc-by-arc, maybe) review, post it up on Reddit somewhere. I'm far too poor to be paying for a monthly Patreon subscription, but I can at the very least make my best attempt at bringing new readers to this wonderful game. If it's not obvious by the handful of other posts I've made here already, I thoroughly enjoy writing about the various things that I like, and OoT just so happens to be one of those things; well, no, more than that, it's one of the few things that I'd say I love very much. I've yet to find anything else quite like it, with its unique blend of spiritual beliefs and so on.

Yeah, I'm using WINE, and I think that that's what's slowing it down significantly.

Voice acting and animations in some areas have been added retroactivley slowly as and when the there's extra room in the budget.
