Lmao. I have no idea how but I bricked my save after finishing 27. That's supposed to be the little free roam menu for the school, train station, etc lol.

I dunno if this will even replicate it or help find the cause but:

•  I seen that it was coming to an end so I saved
• Scrolled back some out of habit with other VN's ending and saved there
• Went forward after remembering the free roam when finishing a chapter to save there. Background was white, but the buttons were there.
• Loaded the save and the buttons were missing clicking where they were did nothing. Scrolled back to see if maybe it'd tell me it was the end.  Somehow it wasn't where I saved but at the point where they were explaining that CJ wasn't the bad guy
• Restarted the game just to make sure it wasn't some weird fluke but the free roam buttons are still gone, can't scroll back and clicking where I *know* where the buttons would be still doesn't do anything

Saves were all in the same slot if that helps or matters any
