Been following this game since around February of 2023, and I gotta say, it’s incredible how consistently good this game has been. The quality was always there, but each arc just gets better and better. The art direction, soundtrack, renders, character models, arc trailers, and everything else continuously improve and it’s been great to watch. Playing through 51 was no exaggeration the most engrossed I have ever been in a story. Since I played it, I’ve thought about this game almost every day since, waiting to see where it would go next. After playing 52, all I can say is that I can’t wait for next chapter. 10/10 game, would play for a seventh time.
It is one APK. But if we distribute it with that one apk you will have to manually extract and place asset files in the correct places. We can’t make apks arbitrarily big. Instead we just do all the work, make sure all the assets in the correct place and correct versions before game apk is installed.
Download update installer and run. If you’re more than 1 version behind download installer6 and run, if it’s not enough it will tell which installers you need to download to have all assets up to date.
Can you explain what is the problem? Does it not load? Does it load but show errors? I don’t have mac to test and we upgraded to unity 6 so I have no idea what the problem is. Is it the same problem that people are reporting on other platforms with game not loading with no saves at all or is it something else?
It doesn't load at all, after unpacking the zip and opening the file, the usual verification runs, and then a window opens that says basically "the file Out of Touch is damaged. You should move it to the Trash."
edit: wish I could be more helpful but that's all it says, no error code or more specific information. Just "this file is damaged"...
It seems the problem is that new version of unity signs app bundles and any changes break it. You need to right click it and press “Open” or do xattr -d com.apple.quarantine ~/Downloads/Out\ of\ Touch.app in terminal for it to work. I will try to see if there are any workarounds for that. Also because of unity upgrade minimum supported mac version is now 10.15 sadly, if yours is lower you might want to try running windows version using wine.

I hope I'm not asking for spoilers but I'm quite curious why Auxo Khione and Carpo are named for the greek goddesses of their seasons but you went with Hebe instead of Persephone, quite curious indeed if it was just vibes or if there's a different reason
if i can wager a guess. Persephone is considered way more powerful than the other 3 in the mythology generally. also technically Demeter is the one who brings spring when Persephone leaves the underworld. she just has a lot more connections as a goddess
This is more inaccurate than not. The majority of the scenes are static renders. It is part of the ultimate vision that many x-scenes will be animated and combat system will be implemented.
That said, don't let that discourage you. This is truly an epic story that steps way outside its medium and genre.

It's very dense and I became somewhat lost in the 40s through 51. Between unreliable narrators and name confusion it can happen pretty easily. Watching the OotCast or doing a replay will help clear a lot of that fog

I created an account only to write this comment. This game had me in tears, and then made me laugh with my whole heart. This is peak, and i won't spoil anything to you, but don't skip the story. I'm only at the beginning, and i can assure you, this game is worth every Gigabyte it took from my space.

right now it's all speculation. itchio's been facing pressure from payment processors over NSFW content and, god forbid, might be banning it.
Another thing is that the deadline for some puritanical UK policy is coming up soon, so this might be a temporary hiccup until they implement UK specific restrictions.
Problem is though, a lot of games have straight up gotten taken down, especially ones with... close familial relationships. I personally think the total NSFW delisting is temporary, but they're permanently implementing more strict content policy. it's a real letdown.
Out of Touch! is packaged as NSFW game but it is so much more than that. The first 7 chapters proves this easily, feeling like an incredible introduction arc to the story/world. Incredible writing and world building, the dev/author of this should be incredibly proud.
If you are the type to quickly click through the story for the NSFW scenes but you would be doing yourself a HUGE disservice doing that here. Each character, while being tied to the mc in some way, feels like they have their own life, problems, and interests in a way you rarely see in NSFW VNs. No one is introduced and then forgotten about by the reader, everyone while important to the story also is important to other side characters in the story.
This all goes with saying that the Author is clearly inspired by the motivational action driven anime mc, which works incredibly well here. The MC is funny, goofy, empathetic, motivated and relatable but when things get serious, he gets serious.
Again Dev/team good for you guy(s) seriously. Can't wait to finish the available content.

Is anyone else getting a really weird visual bug? It makes the game's visuals seem bleached out, almost like you've turned the brightness up really high. It's only the images that appear that way tho. The UI, the start menu, and some of the side stories are okay but other than that it is impossible to make anything out.

Usually that’s enough but if you’re missing any assets it will tell you which other installers you need to download. This way you will only have to download installer for assets that you’re actually missing.
I never thought, that i will spent almost the whole week just completing the all 56 chapters there is now, and damn, it totally was worth the time. You won't see that much projects like that one, keep it up

Afterwards, if you still want more, a replay of the game will show you just how much of the story was expertly foreshadowed. There's a youtube playlist of the soundtrack which has all music, including originals, and the discord is active with Work in Progress renders for upcoming chapters.
Exactly. Android has a size limit on APK files, so we split it like that. Normally it’s solved with game downloading its own content but that requires CDN which can cost quite a bit, especially if people are deleting and redownloading game. Other games solve it by having people download content and manually put in specific folder, we don’t do that because if people fail to understand how to install with game just being split into 6 APKs explaining how to make folder and put files there correctly (which is also different between different phones) is much worse.
