so maybe Im the only one with this issue but now that i downloaded the new version I only get the script. none of the actual renders appear on the screen. any ideas on how to fix it?
OoT was originally built in Ren'Py, but got ported over to Unity Engine for more recent development. Story Anon's coders have had serious problems getting the Unity version working outside of desktop environments. They're actively working on it, though, and have some mostly-working builds now. Hopefully they'll be able to knock out the last few serious bugs pretty soon.
This visual novel is incredible. Even without "player choice" it so engaging and I am dreading the end of the content that is currently out as I don't want it to end. One of the best visual novels I have read.

Probably something that happens in later Chapters, maybe when we run into CJ's mom again but I never really thought about it before now. I'm kinda surprised that CJ's dad doesn't get mentioned all that much or even questioned, especially as the story is unfolding and the characters are learning more and more.

Anyways, early on we discover his dad gave him his power (Or awakened it? I guess is another explanation), but later on we discover that there's a lot of different CJ's and are all fragments/shards of who he's to become. So where does CJ stand in comparison?
If CJ Sr is a greater being than CJ Jr you'd think he'd be mentioned more. Primarily by Cro, Carpo and crew as they've seen, been a part of and know a lot more. Or does this mean there is no distinction between the two and actually CJ Sr is just the 'whole' CJ if all his fragments/shards were one?
Only just started out, seems ok, but has a few visual bugs. Clicked on 'auto' and it becomes a white box that you cant get rid of until you reboot the game.
Also during the conversation when CJ is first shown his dorm room, each time the sprites change (ie for new pose/expression/or swapping person) the character sprites flicker for a fraction of a second and you see a translucent box with some icon in it that replaces the sprite (about the same size if not bigger), its such a fast flicker that I cant see what it is, but it's there.
Thats as far in as I am so far so unsure if this visual glitch continues
The current Android build was made by Gamecax, not us, and is based on the old Ren'py version of the game. We're building our own Unity Android version that will be kept up to date with the main release branch.
Hey man, Loved your game and nice story you have here, Although I downloaded the latest update, and All I see is White screen at the start of Volume 3 any idea how to fix it?
There's a bug that we think we have a fix for that can sometimes cause images to fail to load when a chapter boundary is skipped or rolled back through. Either reloading an earlier save or just retrying until it loads right will work in the meantime, but we should have that fixed by the next update.
I have probably not played a game that is more introspective. Well written and. and amazing than this except i dont like VN. I i am still playing this tho.

Speaking of Cro though, Sarah seems to be getting more and more invested in CJ (understandably) but also her screws seem to be coming a little loose. At least from my perspective, anyways. Would not be surprised if we have a Chapter where she has a breakdown and we have to talk her down so she doesn't end up being like Cro, Carpo, Khione and the other two.
Wholeheartedly agreed. Though I do think Leah's "friend" is going to shake things up somehow. Definitely worried/excited about the stuff you mentioned in the last paragraph.
Just a theory, of course, though I wouldn't be surprised were it to happen some day. Also the kind of drama I wouldn't be surprised to see from this title in general lol.
I could totally be reading too much into things, but after all the events with Cro, Jamie's grandfather, the close call with Khione, and after hearing about CJ's mom it all just clicks for me. Just "Oh, this is how Cro, Khione, Carpo and crew all lost their mind", not all exact events but just string of tragedy after tragedy sorta things as they fell for all the CJ's.
So after CJ bonds wih Jaime, Sarah leaves a note saying he should spend time alone with the girls. Now when i do Theresa's it goes to the end, says "Theresa side arc 1 complete", "5 Motes of pride acquired" and then goes into a loop back to the title "The untread path" untill the end, then back to title, then until...
It may be relevant to add i went for Theresa last.
That's an issue we've seen happen rarely with the side quests, something to do with our mark system that is supposed to put you back where you started when you finish it. Never had it happen on that one though, weird.
If you load a prior save you should be able to get past it no problem, we have a hard time replicating it but it does eventually decide to work right.
I sometimes have issues with unity based visual novels. So it may be more of an incompatibility type of issue than a pure programming one. I don't know if that information can help you in any way.
Not saying it's all Unity's fault. Most likely something you coded works for others and in a few cases fails due to circumstances wich may or may not be linked to Unity either alone or in cunjunction with whatever. If i thought it was all Unity failing me i'd not have told you i hope it may help.
I only pointed my past issues with Unity for if you ever want to look down that path...
Managed to get past that point in the game anyway, and that's what currently matters to me. ^^
Andorid has only 15 chapters while PC and Mac have 30 chapters. The game was initially created in renpy (the android has only been released upto the last renpy release), but now the game is being build in unity and dev was having some issue rolling out android version, the work for the releasing android version is still in progress, you will have to wait till that is completed, or meanwhile can play it in PC /Mac.

Your antivirus probably quarantined the renders, check in IMAGES~ if the Ch33 renders made it in.

This game honestly sent me on a whole wavelength of emotions and complex thoughts
But it took some time to play
Took me about a week (only cause I had to take breaks cause I definitely could not handle the entire game in one sitting)
The story is so addicting though, I love it

Why is the android version the old Version?

I just downloaded the game last night and when I opened it up to try it, it says Failed to load Mono. Any help?
